Last year I started making these handbuilt swirl trees and this year I decided to update with a fun scallop edge and TEXTURE! They are so simple and I’m happy to share the technique so you can try! 🌟 HOW TO MAKE A TEXTURED HOLIDAY SWIRL TREE: • Roll out your clay to approx 1/4” thick slab - make sure you pick it up between rolls so it doesn’t stick to the table too much! • Use a needle or knife tool to cut a spiral into the slab (starting small in the center then evening out as you go outward) • Create a cone shape with thicker paper (like a shopping or takeout bag) • Use your thumb or a tool to press down along the spiral edge to create the scallop look (I usua Diy Ceramic Christmas Tree, Tree Pottery, Spiral Christmas Tree, Homemade Clay, Cone Christmas Trees, Pottery Videos, Scallop Edge, The Spiral, Clay Tutorials
