Putting a wine glass (or something round) in the rim when you make your thumb impression keeps the rim from warping. Jini | creative daydreamer on Instagram: "The full tutorial is here: 😏🥰🫶🏼 👉🏼 Start with about 350g of clay and roll it into a ball. 👉🏼 Roll the ball again slightly to elongate it a bit. 👉🏼 Slam it onto a board with some force to create a base. 👉🏼 Now, the left hand shapes the clay from the outside, giving it a round form, while the right thumb (and later other fingers of the right hand) press the clay from the inside out and upwards. 👉🏼 Occasionally, the right hand works alone using a pinching grip to ensure the walls are consistently thin. The right thumb goes inside the cup, while the other fingers of the right hand press against the outside of the cup.
