Fibre Artist & Teacher on Instagram: "Ever heard of couching? 🧐 Couching uses stitches to tack down a piece of thread or yarn to create a unique look and texture. The yarn that is being couched, doesn’t actually penetrate the fabric but rather sits on top of it. I just love how quickly I can lay down a lot of colour in a reasonably short time! 🧶 Watch to the end to see how I end my couching off! #machinecouching #sewingmachineart #creativestitching #threadart #textiledesign" Yarn Couching Machine Embroidery, Couching Stitch Embroidery Designs, Couching Embroidery Design, Yarn Couching, Free Motion Embroidery Designs, Couching Embroidery, Fibre Artist, Couching Stitch, Paper Recycling

Fibre Artist & Teacher on Instagram: "I thought I'll show you a bit more of my couching videos.

I'm having so much fun with it and I want to share as much of it as possible!

I'm using a bright pink yarn and a matching thread colour to couch it onto a black surface. I didn't find it necessary to use a stabiliser as the black fabric is firm enough.

If you would like to learn how to do this, I have a fabulous Machine Couching Class for only $20 available on my website so head on over to Masterclass and get started! The class is suitable for all levels as long as you have a sewing machine of which the feed dogs can be dropped or covered and the correct foot.

Once you've made your purchase, you can play any time that suits you....the class is yours for ever!
