Abstract
Virtual Manufacturing (VM) is higher computer application in product design and manufacturing and management. Verification of process production planning and control is a basic part in estimation of manufacturing, so layout of virtual factory and simulation will play an important role in VM. Here we consider typical Flexible Manufacturing System(FMS) as studied object and give a detail layout of virtual FMS, whose 3-d geometrical models are originated from a made-in-China 3-D solid CAD software, CAXA. All of the virtual objects of FMS are built according to their functions, propertied and geometrical exterior and assembly them in right position of virtual factory. In order to simulating the dynamical production planning, the consequential control procedure which is on the basis of machining process of each equipment and overall control codes are programmed, which considers transmitted belts as key connection among all of the mounted virtual machining tools and robots, etc. given results show that we can deal with some typical layout and production simulation of virtual FMS.
