OnsLaunch is a launcher application for DOS, created by Simon Howard (Fraggle) for Team Onslaught. It primarily targets multiplayer and only supports Doom II.

It introduced the OLO lump, which contains deathmatch settings and map names. Simon implemented support for it in the sfdoom, and SMMU source ports. He also included the OLO lump in several PWADs he contributed to, including Team Onslaught's Decamatch II: Annihilation.

History[edit]

The first version released was 1.0, using DOS's font and no background, 1.01 was a bugfix which added support for backgrounds, which were saved in raw image files.

Version 1.1, released February 13, 1998, with several improvements, it uses the Doom font, reduced the number of raw image files, added Modem.num phone book support, and replaced the background with a bitmap file.

Version 1.2, released August 9, 1998, it removed all raw image files, all information is now stored in olaunch.wad, added OLO lump support, additional options, and a screensaver. Version 1.21, released April 10, 2005, it was a bugfix related to OLO handling.
