Hey guys! We post a lot of vintage drag to build an archive of the dirty uncool drag we all adore & love. Please drop any suggestions or queen/area requests!! 🖤

dragarchive

+ just so you all know this blog is ran by @trixiescrown and @katyascrown . We have been active in the Instagram community since 2018 — we are twin sisters who have spent a lot of years saving and archiving drag content from the 90’s to early 2010s.

As our introduction to drag was drag race (like many other early ‘00s Gen Z’ers) most of the content we will post is of/about Drag Race girls. with that being said, in our archival processes, we have stumbled across many drag artists that haven’t been televised– and we wanna share their work & grit. That’s what drag is all about. As we previously mentioned above, please submit any requests for content or if you have relevant content and wish for it to be shared, you are welcomed to do so by using the submissions tab on our page 🩷

Everyday we wanna improve our knowledge and expand our archive. Specifically with the British scene, although we are both from the UK, knowledge and archives seem to be sparse around here. We’d love to change that.

Stay uncool, —dragarchive xo

where do you find this stuff apart from myspace?

We’re in a lot of fan groups on Facebook who often post this stuff. Other than that, vintagedragqueens on IG post quite a lot of good gems. We just try to pick things up as we catch them, and have been for quite a while. We find some things on Flickr and old webs like that. like, we came across truthserum.org on Katya fanpage on FB, which is home to a lot of late 00s Jacques Boston drag! There’s a lot of photographers out there who really care about drag!!!
