MANIFESTO

why am i here, of all places? on the indie web, rather than where the rest of the world wanders, on the socials that dominate, shape, and influence our everyday lives?

well, simply put, i have a stubbornness and refusal to bend a knee to the large corporations running these socials, especially google, meta, and more. the more i have built this site, the more i have discovered a newfound freedom, a newfound safety almost. this is more than a small space for me, this space is an extension of me for the internet to see, if only they look hard enough for the wonders of the indie web, away from those apps run by corporate leeches. truthfully, yes, i do use socials myself. mainly tiktok, and instagram and discord for messaging purposes. i hope to one day leave those socials (except tiktok just due to communicating with my muturals sorry) and use this space as the place to find me and keep up with me.

the indie web is as good as a home-cooked meal. it has heart, effort, soul, it's authentic and human-made. it has a taste of it's own that you just can't beat, it's irresistible once you discover how free it truly is, how the internet can be made your own if only you step away from socials and give the indie web a try. this space was created, curated, and is controlled by me and tastes of something all my own i couldn't possibly find within what ai-run, money driven algorithms big companies has to offer.
