novel God Help the Child in the light of Milkhail Bakhtin's theory of dialogism. According to
this theory, it can be claimed that this novel is polyphonic (i.e., multi-voiced). Morrison's own
voice has not come in the novel between reader and the story as her point of view is absent
from the novel. Instead, many other stories are reverberating with too much human life as the
novel is divided into four parts with each part divided into subparts. Each of these subparts
has a character to say it.

Literature is the mirror of society. Litterateurs pen down only what they see and feel the unseen in their surrounding world. Literature never exists for its own purpose. It is deeply rooted in the conditions and circumstances of the contemporary society and people of that society. Similarly, ageing and its aspects have also been portrayed by writers in their own specific ways. Literary writers depict the memories, experiences and feelings gained through years. These experiences and feelings are an amalgamation of triumphs and traumas that this age collects in the phenomenon of growing old.
Race and class constitute very important aspects of human life. In case of women, it is not only their sex that determines their position (primary or secondary) and status in society but also their class and race. Jennifer Baumgardner and Amy Richards inform that the editors of The Readers Companion to US Women’s History lists seventeen major types of feminisms based on identity. Black Feminism is one of them.
Frankenstein can be viewed as the differentiation between the ‘good science’ and the ‘bad science.’ It shows the dire consequences of science that sees itself as a master.
Through this paper I want to show the uniqueness of science fiction and at the same time we want to show its importance also as it is not so popular like the other genres in the English Literature.
