OF FAERIES AND MONSTERS
A trio of characters that all exist in the same universe, but only the one chosen as the protagonist will survive.
Celeste and Eilian met each other by chance in Baldur’s Gate while Eilian was in the city running an errand and got lost on his way to Sorcerous Sundries. He hadn’t been to Baldur’s Gate in a while and wasn’t too familiar with the city. Celeste helped him find his way there, and they ended up spending the entire day together, with Celeste happily showing him around the city. They agreed to meet each other again outside the city…but that time would never come to pass, since one of them would be kidnapped by a mind flayer ship.
After seeing off Eilian, Celeste was attacked by Morgana on her way home. There had been a string of murders in the city as of late, and it seemed that Celeste was Morgana’s next target. Celeste fought bravely, but was no match for a seasoned killer like Morgana. Fortunately, Celeste was rescued by her patron by suddenly being pulled through a fey portal to safety.
If Celeste or Eilian isn’t chosen as the protagonist, they eventually die as a result of the Absolute cult’s rampage, with Celeste dying in the upper city, and Eilian dying trying to defend his circle from an Absolute cultist raid. If Morgana isn’t chosen, then she dies by Orin’s hand.
