But anyways, I’m writing an epic fanfic detailing Surana’s entire journey through Origins by utilizing the toolkit a lot and its actually really fun to look at all the conversation responses so that I can choose something in character for Surana to say and mash up the default responses from the other character match the vibe.
I’m having a hard time deciding what order I want her to do the main quests in tho. I’ve generally just gone Redcliffe, Broken Circle, Paragon of her Kind, start Sacred Ashes, Nature of the Beast, and then finishing Sacred Ashes, because that I feel like that makes a lot of logical sense travel wise, and Surana would want the most efficient route. But like idk. Maybe I’m just overthinking it tho.
Like Redcliffe first makes a lot of narrative sense, Surana trusts Alistair and when they hear that the Arl is sick in Lothering they now have a time sensitive reason. But it also feels so fast, like I want some more time to pass because they’re gonna do the Broken Circle right after to save Connor and I need enough time to pass for Surana to feel guilty about not going back to the Circle first. But I also hate doing main quests without all my companions, so I wanna do the ones that recruit them first, but I do not doing Orzammar first.
Like I could justify Surana putting off Redcliffe because it’s so close to the Circle and she is having feelings about the Circle, but like what should come next?
Then there’s the question of when to recruit Zevran and Shale… see I think I want Shale after Redcliffe and the Broken Circle because I feel like she’d make it too easy. I’m down to bend canon to put Zevran where ever I want, because I def want him recruited before the Broken Circle because learning about the Circle and how similar their pasts are is a huge bonding point for Surana and Zevran. But should be there in Redcliffe with them? I mean I wanna say yes so because I did write some of the scene where they recruit Zevran and it’s really funny to have Surana be like “I actually have no idea what Loghain’s issue with us is. We don’t actually threaten his power, do we?” And then Alistair is like “haha no… we’re just a couple of nobodies. Nothing Royal here…”
