The football team came to its closest loss this year when playing against Elkhart Central High School in the regular season game. Elkhart Central opened up a 20-0 lead (which was the largest deficit for Penn the entire season) in the first quarter. The halftime score was 23-7 in favor of Elkhart Central. Penn took control in the 2nd half by keeping Central off of the scoreboard and scoring 23 of their own points. The final score read 30-23 in favor of Penn.
