I would like to add an explanatory insert to this story. However, in the last few days I have been continually rebuffed as "disruptive." -- a term that seems misapplied here. My intent is not to disrupt, but to explicate and inform.

In the Personnel section I wish to add this telling passage after the first sentence on Art Fleming:

In an exhaustive 1989 essay on the show, Fleming told Sports Illustrated senior writer Franz Lidz that he watched Trebek's iteration of Jeopardy! infrequently, and then only for a handful of questions. "It's much too easy," he said, "And the prizes! In my day, runners-up used to get to keep their prize money. Now they get a carton of dog food or something! You finish a dollar out of first place and you win a year's supply of lip gloss!" He hated the glitz, the polish. "It's not part of the real world." he said, "it's part of Hollywood."[groupname 1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by OPamuk1967b (talkcontribs)

Here is further explanation on the reversion of your edits:
  • This edit simply added links to the story tagged as refs, which do not provide verification of the text to which they were tagged.
  • This edit stated an article was included in Sports Illustrated, but is not related to the Conception and development of the show, the section in which you placed the addition. Also, the text you added, only stating the article exists, is WP:IPC content.
  • This edit added the same text while creating a new subsection, Print Publications. This again falls under WP:IPC.
However, the expansion above which includes quotes from Fleming would be appropriate for the Jeopardy!#Reception section. Feel free to add it there. AldezD (talk) 15:37, 14 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
