Radon Labs was a German video game developer based in Berlin. the company was founded in 2000 after TerraTools closed and changed their name to Radon Labs shortly after the development of Urban Assault. Radon Labs has its headquarters in Berlin and a second development studio in Halle-Leipzig. The company filed for bankruptcy in May 2010 and was bought by the browsergames publisher Bigpoint GmbH.[1]

TerraTools
editThe initial entity of TerraTools GmbH, "TERRATOOLS Computer Graphics Solutions" (Or the alternative German name of "TERRATOOLS Software- und Filmproduktions GmbH & Co. KG"), was founded in 1993 by Ulrich Weinberg, a professor of computeranimation and graphics at the HFF school for film and television in Babelsberg. Ulrich worked with lead game designer Thomas Langhanki to begin game development with the studio's team in 1994.[2]

editRadon Labs is the creator of the Nebula Device, an open source 3D game engine. Radon Labs released its engine under MIT license in 2006 and a later version in 2011.[3][4]
