Robert L. Smith (May 1931 – October 7, 2024) was an American Republican politician from Idaho. Smith was the 1974 Republican nominee for the United States Senate seat in Idaho. He was defeated by Democratic incumbent Frank Church.[1] Smith died on October 7, 2024, at the age of 93.[2]
