editThanks @Wherethetacos: for adding the results. Where did you find these precise data, with two decimals ? I didn't find it in both sources listes, except for Chuuk. Cordially. Aréat (talk) 19:06, 11 November 2023 (UTC)
- When I came on the 9th I found the results table already there, with data from Pohnpei Yap and Kosrae but missing Chuuk, which I added. The table was commented out however, I assume to wait for the missing data. It seems to have been added by @HapHaxion on August 15th, and is sourced to a facebook post. I missed that when I made it visible, and I'll go ahead and add it to the bottom of the table as a source. It's definitely not an ideal reference, and I've emailed the Micronesian election office to try and get their results directly. wherethetacos (talk) 19:48, 11 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks!--Aréat (talk) 03:01, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
Hey @Aréat:! Wanted to take the opportunity to clear up some understandable confusion. The source for the numbers in red can be found in the second link at the bottom of the table, though it's not immediately obvious where. On the righthand side, under download options, there are 3 jpeg files which contain additional results from the FSM elections office. When I uploaded them to the archive with the pdf I thought they would all be displayed together, but for some reason it seems to assume that the image files are only of peripheral importance. I haven't put anything up on the archive myself before, so if you can tell me how to make it more easily accessible I'd be happy to fix it. I hope those data are useful to you on the French page! I really admire your thoroughness. wherethetacos (talk) 21:09, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for the clarification, I did found the files. Thanks a lot for finding and uploading them, it's so difficult finding any election data from Micronesia's governement. As for the file, I think you need to make a new pdf with these three pages included. It treat them differently because there's four pages as a single pdf and these three as jpg. If you use some program like adobe acrobat pro, you can extract the four page from the pdf as jpg, then make a new pdf from the seven jpg, which you can then upload whole.--Aréat (talk) 01:44, 29 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Wherethetacos: On second read, the file from Pohnpei doesn't make any sense, as none of the numbers are consistent with the percentages. For example, concerning the amendment on Land case jurisdiction , it say "For : 4,829 86.03% and Against : 1,736 17.97%". But that mean a total of 6,565. And 4,829 by 6,565 make 73.56%. So with these numbers the amendment actually didn't reach the 75% thresshold in both Yap and Pohnpei, and was thus rejected. Yet all others sources say all amendments have been approved...--Aréat (talk) 02:06, 29 November 2023 (UTC)
- You're exactly right. I can't believe I didn't notice that half of the figures for Pohnpei add up to substantially more than 100%. It's not a very good sign that the numbers for Pohnpei don't check out, since that's the only state where we even have ostensible vote totals. I already emailed them yesterday asking if it's possible to access vote totals and turnout numbers for the rest of the states, maybe that could give some clarity but who knows when they'll get back to me, if ever. What a frustrating little election this has turned out to be, every time I think we finally have all the numbers there turns out to be a hole somewhere. I'll post again on this talk page next time I get anything from them. Wherethetacos (talk) 04:36, 29 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for
dumbing that down forsorry I mean explaining that to me, I should've guessed they'd need to be in the same format. I've reuploaded and updated the link. I'm kind of relieved to hear you had the same difficulty, I was starting to think I was an idiot for not being able to find these results posted online anywhere. The person I corresponded with at the National Elections Office was very nice though, even if they took their time getting back to my messages. Wherethetacos (talk) 04:25, 29 November 2023 (UTC)

edit@Pear1020: could you elaborate a little more on your reassessment? Wherethetacos (talk) 16:00, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Wherethetacos Sure! There are some paragraphs that don't have citations. Even if it seems mundane, I would like to see some work done there for B class, just in case even what seems like common knowledge to you is something another reader wants to verify. As for cleanup, looks like my concerns have been addressed or I was seeing things wrong. Also if you can find a relevant image to illustrate the article that would be great but isn't mandatory.
- However, I would say that the article is close enough to B class that if you would like to go ahead and bring it up that's fine with me. :D Pear 2.0 (say hi!) 16:11, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks! Added in some relevant images, and I'll go ahead and raise it to B Wherethetacos (talk) 17:47, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
