External Links
editI have removed the external links section again as it does not contain any links which meet any significant notability guidelines as described at WP:EL, specifically:
- 10. Links to social networking sites (such as MySpace or Fan sites), discussion forums/groups (such as Yahoo! Groups), USENET newsgroups or e-mail lists.
- 11. Links to blogs and personal web pages, except those written by a recognized authority.
Of the five links, three are to forums (Colorado K5, Carolina K5, and something at Forumer.com?), one is to a Cardomain (social networking), and one appears to be a personal blog. Ayocee (talk) 22:39, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
www.chevroletblazerk5.com is a web site that contains information that is not included here. It is a website that is recognized by http://www.treadlightly.org/page.php/home/Home.html Unlike some we can be emailed here and through the web site. We have been recognized by B.F. Goodrich, Quaker State and Rain-X as a recognized authority on the K5 Blazer.MetroDPS (talk) 23:45, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
TQ is a measure, not a unit!!!
editAs per title. I'd assume it's measured in ft-lb, but you never know, so I won't change it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.197.138.78 (talk) 11:03, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
Technically torque is measured in lb/ft. ft/lb is different measurement https://www.enginelabs.com/news/torque-talk-pound-feet-foot-pounds-one/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.51.227.35 (talk) 02:22, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
K5 Blazer
editI have watched videos on it and it is a amazing truck/suv Nathaniel Ivey (talk) 13:10, 27 February 2016 (UTC)
Chevy always put it on the side of these trucks as K/5. Presumably that must mean something, but the article never explains what. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.51.227.35 (talk) 02:24, 16 March 2020 (UTC)

Splitting 1973-1991
editAs with all GM light-duty trucks, there are differences between the 1973-1980 Chevrolet K5 Blazer, and the 1981-1991 Chevrolet K5 Blazer. The generation currently described as "1973–1991 (1991 GMC Jimmy)" should be split accordingly. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 19:45, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
1991 or 1994?
editThe termination of production is very unclear in the article. It says, "the full-size K5 Blazer was replaced in 1994 by the Chevrolet Tahoe." The disambiguation page for the Chevrolet Blazer says, "The full-size Chevrolet K5 Blazer, based on the C/K pickup chassis and built from 1969 to 1999 (renamed to Tahoe in 1995 for the 2-door model)." Then, the article text says, "Production 1969–1991." Which is correct? Was there a gap between 1991 and 1994, where the only Blazers were S-10 models? Sacxpert (talk) 11:18, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- The K5 Blazer was built through 1994, and replaced by the Tahoe for 1995. Its GMC Jimmy counterpart, however, was renamed Yukon for 1992. It looks like the Tahoe article was half-heartedly meant to cover the 1992-94 K5 Blazer, but doesn't have much in the way of information. I'll add it here, so at least there's some clarity. --Sable232 (talk) 18:23, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
Nomenclature
editThis crossed my mind previously, and with recent IP edits I should bring it up.
- What would the "full" model name for these be described as? As in "K5 Blazer Silverado" or something else when including the trim level.
- Would 1987-91 models be called "V1500 Blazer", or are they still commonly referred to as "K5"? Similarly for the 1992-94: "K1500 Blazer"? Comments would be helpful, reliable sources preferred. --Sable232 (talk) 02:27, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
