The song "Muckin' Slushers" by Stompin' Tom Connors is directly about the mines, miners and town of Elliot Lake.

The population is a typo should be 11,549 rather than 15,549 per Stats Canada. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.243.125.61 (talk) 19:47, August 27, 2007 (UTC)

Rename: Elliot Lake, OntarioElliot Lake

Per WP:CANSTYLE, the article about the city should be at the undisambiguated name. All online references using this term refer to, or are related to, the city. The undisambiguated title currently redirects to the city. There is also an Elliot Lake Airport in BC, but it's existence shouldn't prevent this page move. Mindmatrix 19:53, 23 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
