editFlagging as needs citation. John Murray was an early Universalist minister, preaching his first Universalist sermon on the American continent on September 30, 1770.[1]: 341 However, Universalist George de Benneville had been going on "itinerant preaching tours" some time between 1741 and 1757.[1]: 149 "Adams Streeter proposed that the Universalists gather in association so that a unified and legal church body might be recognized on constitutional grounds."[1]: 353 There were others who were involved in "founding" the organization that eventually became the "Universalist denomination," not just John Murray.Samatva (talk) 18:10, 29 November 2018 (UTC)

First wife (and child)
editThe deaths of his first wife, Eliza, and their son, were a big part of his history. They seem omitted here... Samatva (talk) 18:10, 29 November 2018 (UTC)
