Rape scandal

edit

I added the rape accusations to the main article, but someone keeps deleting it. It's substantiated and cross-referenced with up to the minute information, including the latest retraction by one of the girls. Please, whomever is deleting it - STOP IT. 201.174.49.50 (talk) 20:20, 12 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I'm the editor who keeps reverting it as the sources provided do not meet our WP:BLP requirements for sourcing, especially for allegations of this type. Wikipedia is not the news and it is our responsibility to ensure that any potentially damaging material is omitted until it meets all of our requirements for verifiability. In addition, even if the allegations were impecably sourced, the text you are looking to add nearly doubles the article size, which is a violation of WP:UNDUE. I have raised the issue at the biographies of living people noticeboard for additional input. You can find a link to that discussion here. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 20:39, 12 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
I made the changes you requested. Now the sources point to CNN, El Universal & EsMas.com - three of the biggest news outlets in Mexico, if not the biggest, and the section has been heavily edited. 201.174.49.50 (talk) 22:23, 12 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Child sexual abuse allegations

edit

Kalimba has appeared recently in mexican newspapers due to allegations of sexual abuse of two underage girls. Perhaps this should go in the original article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.148.51.86 (talk) 18:09, 28 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Afromexican?

edit

The article claims he is Afro-Mexican, it's true he was born in Mexico but the term Afro-Mexican is for those whose African ancestry goes back within the territory of Mexico to the Colonial Period and doesn't necessarily include modern immigrants. It is not clear is he is the son of immigrants or the son of Afro-Mexicans whose descent goes back to Colonial Mexico.Ocelotl10293 (talk) 01:14, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Kalimba is not a voice actor anymore

edit

OK,Actually, Kalimba Marichal is not longer a voice actor anymore, since he's already dedicated to the music industry right now. His last voice role was in Chicken Little, but not as a voice actor per se. He is credited as a star talent voice, since he's not longer works for any voice acting studio in Mexico. So, in that case, he should be listed as a former voice actor, not a current one. --Luisedgarf 02:56, 12 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Kalimba Aerosoul CD.jpg

edit

Image:Kalimba Aerosoul CD.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:16, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
