Heavy Rail/Light Rail
editIn many Wikipedia articles on Indian Railways, the railway line type is seen to be mentioned as "Light Rail", especially for branch lines like this one. This is wrong. Light/Heavy rail does not depend on the railway line or traffic load, but the service it is intended for. "Light rail" is a specialized type of urban transport falling between Metro Rail and Trams, usually seen in the USA. "Heavy rail" is referred for all parts of a "heavy" long-distance national railway, as long as it is not classified as urban transport, including all types of Indian Railways trains (excluding Kolkata Metro), no matter how insignificant the branch line is. I have hence changed type to "Heavy Rail". --Vinodpv27 (talk) 08:30, 12 December 2016 (UTC)vinodvp27
Unfocused articles
editHello Vinodpv27, this excellent article is summarized -- but not succinctly enough -- in a series of railway station articles that are schizophrenic. They purport to be about railway stations but include an infobox that describes this line. The encyclopedia would be improved with a rewrite of the articles in the table, including trading out the infobox for Template:Infobox station. Rhadow (talk) 16:17, 3 February 2019 (UTC)
