I believe that it is standard practice to include United States Reports references when citing US Supreme Court references. I've noticed that the one from this article has been removed multiple times recently without a clear explanation and I was wondering if I could get clarification on whether it should be included in the article or should be removed. Thank you, Omanlured (talk) 21:07, 23 December 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Omanlured, are you referring to the US Report citation in the lead, 589 U.S. ___ (2019)? This should be included in the lead per WP:SCOTUS/SG. If you cite a different Supreme Court case in the body of the article, I recommend adding a footnote and using Template:Ussc for the US Reports citation for that case. - Thank you for your response Legalskeptic. Yes I was referring to the lead -- I had placed the reference 589 U.S. __ (2019) in the lead but it was removed by someone else several times in a row. It seems to have been restored now but I wanted to make sure that I was correct in including it. Omanlured (talk) 14:17, 26 December 2019 (UTC)
