Plagiarizing-Paraphrasing
editCould someone please rewrite the synopsis of this article? It reads like a very badly paraphrased version of this [1]. As a teacher, I'd already nick this for plagiarizing (again), but I'll give this some time. Shrumster 08:24, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- Paraphrasing is allowed anyway. Plagarizing verbatim isn't. --Howard the Duck 08:28, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- But this level and/or quality of "paraphrasing" is tantamount to plagiarism. Just changing the order of words/swapping out for synonyms while retaining the same sentence and paragraph structure is not paraphrasing, at least where I come from. That's downright slacker-style plagiarism. Shrumster 20:45, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- But still it's not verbatim; the copyright thingy refers to info copy and pasted verbatim; if you'd want, you can get rid of the section or rewrite ot (don't watch this TV show so vdunno anything about this). --Howard the Duck 06:54, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- Shrumster, yes I'm aware that my paraphrasing is haphazard. I actually intended this article as a stub. But don't worry, I'm going to improve the Synopsis section soon. :-) -- Perryv 15:42, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

What happened to the rest of this talk page?
editJust out of curiosity. --GracieLizzie 15:24, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- The whole article (including the talk page) had been deleted because of copyright violations. So I decided to create it again, but this time, I created it from scratch. (The original version was not started by me, however.) Then other editors contributed and cleaned up this article. :-) Perryv 08:06, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- Restored. —Centrx→talk • 16:05, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't know about the history of proposals for deleting this article. Thanks for restoring the archive. -- Perryv 17:00, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
