Camry

Ok , is a as follows Toyota platforms are tricky. hard to designate them as such. The platform is not MC it is actually VC. Toyota platforms designate first by engine category . The CV platform has been in use since 1991.

The Toyota Camry,Totota Windom , ES300 from 1991-1993 were VCV-10 The first letter denoting the engine (V)CVwhich meant it employed the 3(V)Z-Fe V6 engine (3VZ-FE,4VZ-FE)) the models employing the 4cyl engine , the platform was noted as SVC for using the 5(S)-FE inline 4 (5S-FE). in 1994 When the the when the updated 1MZ-FE 3.0 V6 came the V6 Platform changed to MCV for the ES300 and Toyota Windom and Toyota Camry using the 1MZ 3.0 V6 , but in other markets That used the 4VZ 2.5 liter V6 engines the platform was still denoted as VCV . The SVC platform was still used on all Windom , Camry models that used the 4CYL engine until 2000.

I have removed the Camry and its derivates from the Toyota MC platform article and included them here with the K platform information created yesterday. It is a widely perpetuated myth that the Camry and its derivatives ride on the MC. Camry adopted the K platform with the XV30 in 2001. OSX (talk • contributions) 03:28, 18 June 2014 (UTC)

Original two Avalon Generations: Not Based on K-Platform?

Researching into the K platform and its development history, I cannot find any concrete evidence that the XX20 (or even its XX10 predecessor) ever employed the K-Platform. If the XX20 entered production before the Highlander that introduced the K-Platform, how would it have used the K-Platform? I know for certain the XX30 used the K platform, but it appears to have been a completely separate development from the original two, related Avalon programs. 129.210.115.227 (talk) 06:46, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
