How does this template differ from the one discussed in this debate?

Hyperbole question

edit

It would be useful if there were a more general template for hyperbole, for such statements as "The Salimullah Muslim Hall was built in 22 August 1929" (an oft-repeated statement) or "After the establishment of Dhaka University, the majority of young Muslims of East Bengal resided in Salimullah Muslim Hall and later achieved success in their respective fields." Perhaps there's some sort of "overstatement" or "implausible" template that I haven't found? Thanks Nadiatalent (talk) 13:16, 26 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

I also support the creation of a separate hyperbole template. I've seen articles claiming that certain common kitchen appliances are exclusively manufactured in a few countries, that a certain food is always served topped with a specific set of ingredients and always served with certain drinks, and that one government in one country managed to seize all copies of a book written and published in another country. AFAIK, Wikipedia does not currently have any appropriate template for tagging these sorts of misleading, hyperbolic generalizations. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 08:59, 12 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
