Have It All
editHi there! Just wanted to reach out to you here since you're the one that started the topic on Jesse MccCartney's talk page for whether Have It All should be included in Jesse's discography on his main page. I have replied there as well but so far haven't gotten a response from you or anyone else.
I'm a bit confused as to why it should be considered part of his discography. As you stated, it went unreleased, and we don't actually know if any copies were ever sold (the wording you used was that "apparently some limited copies have been sold"). Other artists have had albums go unreleased, and they are thus not included in their discography, so I'm not sure why you seem to want to make an exception here. I don't have a problem including it on his discography page, under a specific section titled "Unreleased albums", but I've never heard of any other unreleased albums being included in the discography section of their artists' main page. Please let me know your thoughts! 2601:48:8100:6920:6CBA:7463:3ED1:AC8D (talk) 22:56, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for reaching out! I admit I had forgotten about that talk page, as people usually take months to find them. I had simply opened the talk page in case there was disagreement over the relevant policies, as edit wars are not usually constructive. If we don't get any response, then clearly all the people except me either don't care enough and then there shouldn't be any problems. AriTheHorsetalk to me! 23:50, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
- Gotcha, no problem! How long do you think we should give it before we make a decision? 2601:48:8100:6920:6CBA:7463:3ED1:AC8D (talk) 03:28, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- I am also wondering if you still feel that it should remain on the page or not. From your response here, it sounds like you're pretty neutral on the matter, however you did state on the talk page that you believe it should remain on the page. Has there ever been another time where an unreleased album was included on an artists' discography section of their main page? 2601:48:8100:6920:3DBE:442C:D6AC:EF0D (talk) 03:31, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- I don't really know. According to Xtools, that talk page gets edited once every 50 or so days, and by extension it can be assumed that it is viewed similarly often. However, I don't really want to drag this out to long, so I think we might want to put in a request for a third opinion if nobody looks at that talk page in the next three or four days... - I find it interesting that I’ve mentioned to you that I’ve never seen another time when an unreleased album was included on an artists’ page this way, yet you seem intent on ignoring that fact. This really shouldn’t be a debate. If people thought that unreleased albums should be included in the discography section of an artists’ main page, we would have seen it happen several times by now. 2601:48:8100:6920:E158:5965:C4C9:DC33 (talk) 14:24, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- I've put a few examples on the Jesse McCartney's talk page. I'd also like to keep most of this conversation there so that it is more accessible for any future reference.

- Also, if you don't want to have your public IP and, by extension town of residence [1] publicly available, I strongly recommend that you create an account. AriTheHorseTalk to me! 01:34, 30 January 2024 (UTC)

- Also apparently this random guy on the internet cares... I'm not really sure why, as they don't seem to be too interested in going through the actual dispute resolution but...? AriTheHorseTalk to me! 19:58, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
