GA credit
editYesterday, Wo Gott der Herr nicht bei uns hält, BWV 178 was reviewed for GA, but I didn't receive credit on my talk. It would be meaningful today, as it's the composer's day of death ;) -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:13, 28 July 2024 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what happened there, but several dozen articles were not fully processed, though I don't think all of them failed to get talk page messages. I've cleaned up the data, so your GA statistics here now correctly reflect the promotion. I'll have a look in the code and see if I can understand what caused this -- thanks for the ping. - Thank you for the fix, Mike, - I'd still be grateful for a talk page message because of the sentimental reason mentioned above. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:20, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
Bot didn't add icon
editHey there, the bot didn't add {{Good article}} to "Empire of Death" (Doctor Who episode). I added it manually per the instructions at WP:GAN/I#PASS so it's been solved as of now, but I wasn't sure if it was something that needed brought up. Thanks, TheDoctorWho (talk) 05:54, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
- This once again hasn't happened on Twice Upon a Time (Doctor Who) Questions? four Olifanofmrtennant (she/her) 23:00, 14 September 2024 (UTC)
- I'm baffled by this; normally the bot posts an edit summary mentioning pass or fail, but in this case the nomination was silently removed from GAN. I will put this on my list of issues to follow up on. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 01:29, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
Removing reviews
editThere's something which has been bugging me about my number of reviews. After this discussion about some of my reviews (which have been deleted), ChristieBot still keeps all four reviews (with the rest of my successful reviews), is there any chance to remove these four reviews from my total number? 🍗TheNuggeteer🍗

- I can't check the code till this evening (I'm at work) but as I recall a deleted review remains in the database. Once another review is done with the same review number, ChristieBot marks the first one as "superseded". I don't recall if superseded reviews are included in statistics; they probably should not be. So there are two possible reasons that your stats still include them; if they've not yet been superseded, they're definitely still counted; and if they have been superseded it depends whether I pay attention to that in the statistics reporting code. I will take a look, probably this evening. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 12:14, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks.

ChristieBot posting on my talk page every 20 minutes
edit@Mike Christie, for the last 7-8 hours ChristieBot has been posting on my talk page every 20 minutes to notify me that a review has been started for Talk:Soldiers' and Sailors' Arch/GA1. I don't know if it's related to the fact that, a few days ago, the GAN was marked as being "on hold" even though the /GA1 subpage hadn't been created yet. Is this a known bug?
By the way, thanks for maintaining ChristieBot. – Epicgenius (talk) 15:13, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
- Incidentally, I temporarily put a {{bots}} template on my talk page, which seems to have stopped these talk page posts for now, but I'm concerned that I won't get notifications for other GA reviews if I do this. – Epicgenius (talk) 18:16, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
- It looks like there are several independent bugs here, one of which I've fixed. I'm going to remove the transcluded review and do some clean up of the internal errors this has caused and see if that allows a clean run to happen. I'll follow up on your talk page. Bot appears to be down
editIt hasn't editied since 18:48 yesterday. No idea why. Or if this is planned. Just letting you know. SSSB (talk) 05:58, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- It looks to be working again SSSB (talk) 06:32, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- Bots are restricted from working when the database lag gets high, and that appears to have been the case for several consecutive hours last night. I checked the error messages for the failures and they all complained about max lag. It's possible to get around this by running the code interactively, so it's worth letting me know when you see the bot has stopped. It's also quite possible that the bot has run into a new bug I need to fix so again that's a good reason for leaving me a note. Thanks.
