Hello, I'm Binksternet. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Kiss (band), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.   Please do not add or change content, as you did at Nirvana (band), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Laser brain (talk) 15:50, 9 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Paul McCartney discography

edit

Do not add iTunes charts to articles per WP:BADCHARTS. iTunes is one retailer on the Internet. It does not matter how popular it is—its charts represent downloads, which are ever-decreasing due to the proliferation of streaming. These are not comparable or a substitute for the official chart of a country published by an independent organisation. If you re-add these to Paul McCartney discography, you will be reverted and further warned. You've been doing this for the better part of a month and it has to stop. The US column is also for the Billboard Hot 100 or the Bubbling Under extension chart only, not whichever American component chart published by Billboard you fancy adding there. Leave those on the individual songs' articles. Thank you. Ss112 01:20, 14 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Denisarona. I noticed that you recently removed content from Paul McCartney discography without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Paul McCartney discography, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Straight No Chaser (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Paul McCartney discography does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Given how many chart placings you often add in each edit, a summary (such as "Added peak for '[Title of song]' in Japan) would be helpful to other editors when checking your additions, as would making fewer changes in each edit.   Please do not add or change content, as you did at Paul McCartney discography, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. This issue has come up previously with your edits at the same article. I suggest you check that all chart peaks there are supported by reliable sources, because I feel your repeated misrepresentation of the chart sources displays an inability to remain neutral on the subject of Paul McCartney's chart achievements. This would be grounds for a report at WP:AN/ if it continues or is not addressed. Thank you. JG66 (talk) 14:05, 22 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because your username, Fukenfrancis, does not meet our username policy. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have selected a new username that meets the username policy guidelines, which are summarized below.
Per the username policy, a username should represent an individual and should not: represent a group or organization; be promotional; be misleading (such as indicating possession of special user rights or being a ”Bot" account (unless approved for such purposes)); be offensive or otherwise disruptive. However, a username that contains the name of a organization and also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or “FoobarFan87" is allowed, though, among others, the guidance on conflict of interest and the policy of paid-contribution disclosure are relevant.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our username policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you wish for your existing contributions to carry over under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" from their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a change of name request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use. Therefore, please check the list here to see if a name is taken prior to requesting a change of name.
Appeals: If, after reading the guide to appealing blocks you believe you were blocked in error, then you may appeal this block by adding {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this notice. 331dot (talk) 20:37, 29 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
