- Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
- Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
- In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
- Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
- Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like
<ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>
, copy the whole thing). - In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
- If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References== {{Reflist}}

editYour recent editing history at Death shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. tgeorgescu (talk) 21:25, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
- I’m sorry isn’t the idea of permanence required in the article? Kabel1927 (talk) 21:34, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Life, you may be blocked from editing. tgeorgescu (talk) 23:13, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
- That wasn’t unsourced Kabel1927 (talk) 23:19, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
Permanent
is WP:V (verbatim). tgeorgescu (talk) 23:24, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
It’s still means permanent though. Permanent and lasting have pretty much the same damn meaning. Kabel1927 (talk) 01:16, 26 October 2021 (UTC)
I meant the same meaning Kabel1927 (talk) 01:17, 26 October 2021 (UTC)
Verify lasting then too Kabel1927 (talk) 01:23, 26 October 2021 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Life. Plantsurfer 11:23, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

- You can delete content from your talk page the same way you edit content in articles. However, the history of the page will not change, so there's no point in changing what other people have said. DS (talk) 01:46, 26 October 2021 (UTC)
Can u delete discussions on your talk page? Kabel1927 (talk) 02:10, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

editHello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to WXIA-TV, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. We've been moving away from listing cable channels in the ledes of TV station articles. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 00:37, 27 May 2023 (UTC)

editPlease stop. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at The Super Mario Bros. Movie, you may be blocked from editing. Mike Allen 03:05, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary, as you did at Tom & Jerry Kids. WPscatter t/c 15:43, 4 June 2023 (UTC)

Please don't add incorrect information to Autism spectrum. I've twice reverted your edits now, next time I'll have to report you for disruptive editing.--TempusTacet (talk) 19:22, 6 June 2023 (UTC)

- What did I vandalize? Kabel1927 (talk) 00:26, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Kabel1927, you changed the word release to iteration on every article about the major releases of iOS. Though changing singular words on Wikipedia is allowed unless it changes the meaning of the text, I bet you can agree that the word release fits better than iteration. I am content to assume good faith, but it appears you have a history of making suspicious edits. ItsCheck (talk) 00:10, 11 January 2024 (UTC)
- I just like to use big words to expand one’s vocabulary. Kabel1927 (talk) 13:14, 11 January 2024 (UTC)
- Like vocabulary no one's familiar with; my intent is to make people familiar with unfamiliar vocabulary. Kabel1927 (talk) 13:16, 11 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Kabel1927, Wikipedia does have big words but does is really sound right to say iteration? I understand that you did not make a bad edit. ItsCheck (talk) 00:32, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
- Iteration means “a new version of a piece of computer hardware or software.” Kabel1927 (talk) 13:34, 12 January 2024 (UTC)

editPlease do not add or change content, as you did at Kagney Linn Karter, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. —Sangdeboeuf (talk) 03:40, 20 February 2024 (UTC)

editHello, I'm Mvcg66b3r. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, KLEW-TV, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 22:07, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message
editHello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:44, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
