DYK for Chuck Person's Eccojams Vol. 1

edit

On 24 January 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Chuck Person's Eccojams Vol. 1, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that despite Daniel Lopatin's electronic album Chuck Person's Eccojams Vol. 1 having a limited 2010 release on cassette tapes, it became a foundational album for the vaporwave genre? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Chuck Person's Eccojams Vol. 1. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Chuck Person's Eccojams Vol. 1), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Thank you today for Fallout (video game), introduced (in 2022): "Fallout is a 1997 role-playing video game developed and published by Interplay Productions for the PC. It was a critical success, with praise for its unique setting and gameplay compared to other role-playing games for the PC at the time. As a result, it spawned a successful series of role-playing games and is often credited as one of the games that revived the genre."! -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:36, 12 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Potential Fallout series Good Article Topic

edit

So I'm slowly making my way through the articles for the Fallout games and as it stands right now, 5 of the 9 games in the series are at either GA or FA status. Fallout 3 and New Vegas survived their 2024 Good Article Reviews (although I think the Fallout 3 review got closed a little too early, the lede and reception sections still need to be tweaked), and I'm planning on revamping the Fallout Shelter article since its gotten a little bloated. That leaves 2, Tactics, 4, and 76. Since you worked on the article for Fallout 1, would you be willing to collaborate on Fallout 2? I'll admit, I'm not particularly knowledgeable on the pre-Bethesda games, but I do own the games on Steam so I should get around to them eventually. Famous Hobo (talk) 12:44, 10 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

I'd be willing to collaborate with you on Fallout 2 as best as I can. It will be a bit difficult for me since I am slightly busy with a summer semester in college right now. However, I'll try to help as best as I can. What would you like us to do? Lazman321 (talk) 16:41, 10 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Famous Hobo, there is something I can do at the very least. On top of ensuring that the gameplay and plot sections make sense given my understanding of Fallout 2 from when I beat it, I can also write the reception section for you. I noticed that in both GA reviews, you mentioned hating writing reception sections. I do agree that they take significant time to write and am willing to write it while address the other sections. Also, to help with sourcing, I found the official manual, and the talk page has a list of sources found by JimmyBlackwing. Lazman321 (talk) 18:05, 11 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Action of 23 March 1654

edit

Well spotted here, I agree this looks like a hoax! Because the page has existed for nearly 20 years I opted for an AfD rather than unceremoniously deleting it, but this, along with Action of 2 May 1654, do seem to be fictitious as far as I can tell. Good call, but happy to help, nonetheless. Lazman321 (talk) 21:34, 21 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
