"Staracle" external links to star naming company
editHello L, wanted to call your attention to something...
I am dismayed to see that someone has added a star naming company "Staracle" to the external links for a great many astronomical objects (see the Messier 2 page for example). Isn't this an undue use of Wikipedia to promote commercialism, a rather scammy one at that?
I'm writing to you because I think you're a more experienced editor than me, so might know better how to deal with the issue. Or if not, at least let me know your opinion. Best and clear skies! Assambrew (talk) 23:16, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
- Somewhat a false alarm. Using LINKSEARCH, I found only about a dozen external links to Staracle. I will go ahead and remove them. Thanks for listening... Assambrew (talk) 03:18, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
