editI'd say it's a "series" because the MCX name covers multiple weapons of different classifications (carbine, SBR, assault rifle and the one that meets the US legal definition of a pistol). Also strictly "carbine rifle" isn't incorrect unless you use the definition of rifle that doesn't fit in context (full length version of a carbine), which is less common these days since a lot of modern carbines don't have a companion "rifle" anyway: so in the strictest sense, if you use that definition you can't call the MCX a carbine either. The more general definition does work since it's possible to have a carbine pistol (eg Mauser C96 with stock or Artillery Luger). Herr Gruber (talk) 22:16, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
- I concede on the "series" argument. What about "carbine-length rifle"? If not, I'm fine with "carbine rifle". RadiculousJ (talk) 22:32, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

- @KylieTastic: Sorry. Left my account open in college. RadiculousJ (talk) 14:25, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
- Recommend you don't do that. Benefit of the doubt applies this time, but if something like that happens again, you're liable to be blocked as a compromised account. Insert your choice of long diatribe on the importance of cyber-security here. Yunshui 雲水 14:32, 5 December 2016 (UTC)

editIf you're going to move WZ523 to WZ-523, I suggest you also do the same for WZ551 to WZ-551 for consistency's sake. Thanks, --Katangais (talk) 07:03, 16 December 2016 (UTC)
Gun actions
editYour proposal to merge P227 makes no sense
editThe P227 is a .45 ACP caliber handgun. There are NO .45 ACP caliber handguns in P226. Your suggestion is improper. Digitallymade (talk) 23:31, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Digitallymade: To be honest, I'd forgotten all about that, and agree that the P227 requires a separate article. I'll remove the proposal. RadiculousJ (talk) 13:12, 14 March 2017 (UTC)

Spelling
editI just came across this edit which you made last June. The names of certain elements, namely aluminium, caesium, and sulfur, are spelled in the IUPAC-recommended ways in Chemistry articles on Wikipedia, as shown here. The relevant shortcut is WP:ALUM. Please let me know if you have any queries. --John (talk) 21:28, 24 April 2017 (UTC)

edit Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in United States Secretary of Homeland Security, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems.
