Naomi Emmanuel moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Naomi Emmanuel, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption.   Thank you for contributing to the article Draft:Naomi Emmanuel. However, please do not use unreliable sources such as blogs, your own website, websites and publications with a poor reputation for checking the facts or with no editorial oversight, expressing views that are widely acknowledged as extremist, that are promotional in nature, or that rely heavily on rumors and personal opinions, as one of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. If you require further assistance, please look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia, or ask at the Teahouse. Thank you. Kuru (talk) 23:53, 17 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Again, please stop using "opera.news" as you did at Tonia Okoro Ferrari. Each byline notes the author is a "self media writer", and there is a large disclaimer at the bottom of each page stating "Opera News is a free to use platform and the views and opinions expressed herein are solely those of the author and do not represent, reflect or express the views of Opera News. Any/all written content and images displayed are provided by the blogger/author, appear herein as submitted by the blogger/author and are unedited by Opera News." This is not, in any way, a WP:RS. Using it to support personal material on biographies is an extremely bad idea. Kuru (talk) 11:31, 18 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits

edit

Hi - FYI I have reverted your recent edits, for the following reasons:

  • Please see WP:OVERLINK - there is no need to link to pages like "actor", "actress", "film" etc
  • Please take greater care when categorising:
    • See WP:Container category - categories like "Nigerian men" or "Nigerian people" should never be added to actual pages.
    • There is also no need to add categories like "Nigerian men" if the page is already a member of categories like "Nigerian male actors", its redundant
    • I'm not too sure why you would add Category:Nigerian men by occupation to any pages - that is another container cat for occupation categories
    • You've also added Category:Living people to pages of persons who are deceased, please be careful

Adding stubs manually to categories

edit

Hi Ridzaina, I have just had to revert dozens of your edits made over the last couple of days because you added stub categories manually. Stub categories should only be added by templates, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. But another problem is that in almost all of the edits where you maunally added the stub as a category, the stub template was already included prior to your edit, so there was no need to add the stub a second time. Going forward, can you please add stubs by template, and make sure that the stub isn't already in the article before adding. It just makes work for other editors who have to cleanup. Like I said, I already fixed alot of the edits, so there's nothing to do with those articles, but if you were doing this before I cut off fixing them, then it's posible there's more i didn't get too. Deletion discussion about Abdulquawiy Abdulganiyu Olododo

edit

Hello Ridzaina, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Abdulquawiy Abdulganiyu Olododo, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Abdulquawiy Abdulganiyu Olododo.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Vanderwaalforces}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!
