Introduction
editHi everyone, I'm Sagatorium.
Here are a few things to know about me:

2. Favorite music genres: Indie Rock, Classic Rock, 80s New Wave, 90s EDM, Post Grunge
3. I like to make sure all the rosters are up to date with all the correct information. If I mess up, I'll try to make sure to correct my mistakes. I'm here to help, not cause problems.
4. I will be respectful towards other wiki editors whenever there are disagreements. Please don't be a troll or bully. Nobody likes them.
Let's make wiki editing as pleasant as possible

Warning re edit warring
editYou might have missed my warning at WP:RPPI regarding your request for protection of Jartavius Martin. After that, you repeated your edit (diff) so let me be clear. If you repeat a similar edit before gaining positive consensus on the article talk page, I will block you. Johnuniq (talk) 04:33, 5 June 2023 (UTC)

Welcome back
editWelcome back @Sagatorium. I wanted to remind you that we don't change positions in player rosters without a source, and we do not typically use depth charts (they're unofficial in most cases). I'm noting this because of your edit here to Template:Arizona Cardinals roster, in which you undid my sourced edit from here. Hey man im josh (talk) 19:55, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
- Is a player's position on a depth chart ever considered valid? If the depth chart is official and not complied by a PR staff will the source be valid? Sagatorium (talk) 20:24, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
- Given that roughly half the teams explicitly state their depth charts are unofficial, and NFL team sites all follow the same format and are mostly set up identically, it seems like a poor choice to try to do so if a roster position says something different. Depth charts also often have more than 11 positions listed on either side of the ball as well because, depending on a specific formation, someone may have a different position.
- In short, if it ever says unofficial, don't do it. If it says "DL" on the roster and there's a depth chart not explicitly called out as unofficial... possibly. But it's still ill advised in my opinion unless it's backed up elsewhere in some capacity.
- Anyways, I had started a thread about this at WT:NFL based on an IP range regularly using the depth charts and treating them as the ultimate authority, weirdly seeming to wait to focus on ones that said it lol. It's funny timing, they received a long block and you came back, so you luckily just missed them. Hey man im josh (talk) 21:15, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
More unsourced changes?
editFollowing up about this change on Template:Atlanta Falcons roster
- Demone Harris was changed from "DE" to "OLB" – Falcons roster / website lists them as DL
- Khalid Kareem was changed from "DE" to "OLB" – Falcons roster / website lists them as a DE
- Monty Rice changed from "OLB" to "ILB" – Falcons roster / website lists them as an OLB
Not sure what inspired these changes, but please be mindful that your changes should not conflict with sources. Hey man im josh (talk) 12:16, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
- Following up about more unsourced changes...
- Adedayo Odeleye – changed from defensive end to linebacker – Ravens list them as a DE
- Yannick Ngakoue – changed from defensive end to linebacker – Ravens list them as a DE
- As previously discussed, on far too many occasions now, do not make unsourced changes, especially changes that conflict with what teams officially list players as. Hey man im josh (talk) 14:21, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- Again @Sagatorium? At Template:New York Giants roster you changed Armon Watts from "DT" to "DE", Giants list him as a DT. The percentage of your edits that are reverted as incorrect or unsourced is too high. I do not want to have to escalate this to WP:ANI, but if you continue to make these types of unsourced changes I will have to. Hey man im josh (talk) 13:48, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
- I forgot to go back and change it. Sagatorium (talk) 19:05, 18 October 2024 (UTC)

Miscapitalized redirects
editWhen you do edits like this, linking Offensive Tackle, it shows up on Wikipedia:Database reports/Linked miscapitalizations, which I'm far from being able to keep up with. Maybe you can fix these. Similarly these. Dicklyon (talk) 02:31, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
- I can work on fixing these if you don't have time. Let me know. Dicklyon (talk) 23:53, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
