Gillespie Godfrey Boyd

Hagiographical article about someone's relative who served in WWII. Sounds like a good guy but he does not seem to have been unusually distinguished. Fails WP:BIO, WP:N and there are also COI issues andy (talk) 16:13, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Delete- A Google search [1] shows Gillespie Godfrey Boyd in not notable. The only mention I can see of him is in this obituary. [2] And even then, it's an indirect reference. (Long story short: fails WP:N) Anti venin 16:37, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Delete- Certainly fails WP:N, and arguably a candidate for speedy deletion as there's no assertion of sufficient notability to prevent it. A shame when so much work has been put in, but there it is. Ka renjc 17:23, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
