Before nominating an article, ensure that it meets all of the FA criteria and that peer reviews are closed and archived.
Add A-class=current to the project talk page template.
Create a page at Wikipedia:WikiProject Weather/A-Class/articlename/archive#
List the discussion on this page by adding {{Wikipedia:WikiProject Weather/A-Class/articlename/archive#}} to the top of the A-Class candidacy section.
Nominations require at least two reviewers in support in order to pass. Any outstanding opposition will result in failure. Nominations will run for a minimum of two weeks, however, they can run for longer if needed.
A-Class Removal Candidate
Post about the issues on the article's talk page first and foremost.
If no replies occur within two weeks, create a page at Wikipedia:WikiProject Weather/A-Class/articlename/archive#
List the discussion on this page by adding {{Wikipedia:WikiProject Weather/A-Class/articlename/archive#}} to the top of the A-Class removal candidate section.
The goal is to save the article rather than demote it. During the first segment of this process, A-Class Review, reviews will take place to point out issues that need to be addressed.
If the issues are fixed and the reviewers concur the article meets the requirements for A-Class, the article will be kept. If nobody addresses the issues, the article may proceed to A-Class Removal Candidate within two weeks of its listing.
Reviewers and others may then discuss whether to keep or remove the A-class status of the article.
