1965-1979: Continued film appearances
In 1965, Romero appeared in five productions. She portrayed the former First Lady of the Philippines Imelda Marcos in the biographical film Iginuhit ng Tadhana.[1] The film was a success at the box-office and received a special recognition from the Asian Film Festival.[2] Romero revealed in an interview that they were only allowed to shoot at the Malacañang Palace "after office hours at 6 p.m. and wind up at 6 a.m. the next day."[3] For her performance, she received a nomination for Best Actress at the 14th FAMAS Awards.
