Cherpunkal is a small town in the Kottayam district of Kerala State in India.[1]On the Kottayam Pala road,7 km from pala city.

Cherpunkal boasts a Holy Cross Church, believed to have been established by Thomas the Apostle himself,[2] it is also believed that St.Thomas put his sandals there while taking a bath in a nearby river.
