History

In the 1860s, three Swiss entrepreneurs sailed east to Asia. Over the years they established flourishing companies which evolved into major players in South East Asia, China, the eastern Asia Pacific region, and Japan. With a reputation as reliable business partners they earned the respect and trust of major international companies and local business communities alike. Having mastered the challenges of the 19th and 20th centuries, the Diethelm Group and the Keller Group formally joined forces in the year 2000. In 2002, Diethelm Keller Services Asia came together with SiberHegner to create a global services company with a unique pan-Asian network: DKSH was born. In 2012, DKSH sets another milestone in its history by becoming a publicly listed company on the SIX Swiss Exchange.

Activities

DKSH offers a comprehensive package of services that includes organizing and running the entire value chain for any product: from sourcing, research and analysis, marketing, sales, distribution and logistics to after-sales services. DKSH operates in 35 countries through a comprehensive network of 710 business locations in Asia Pacific, and 25 locations in Europe and the Americas.

Business Units

Business activities are organized into four highly specialized Business Units that mirror its fields of expertise:

  • Business Unit Consumer Goods focuses on fast moving consumer goods, food services, luxury goods, as well as fashion and lifestyle products and hair and skin cosmetics
  • Business Unit Healthcare provides healthcare companies with products such as ethical pharmaceuticals, over-the-counter and consumer health products, as well as medical devices.
  • Business Unit Performance Materials provides and distributes specialty chemicals and ingredients for pharmaceutical, food and beverage, as well as various industrial applications.
  • Business Unit Technology offers technical solutions for capital investment goods and analytical instruments in the manufacturing and production, energy, research, food and beverage, advanced metals, and infrastructure sectors.
