Acid Thone is a British doom metal band from Norwich, Norfolk. The group takes influence from classic rock, hardcore punk and black metal[1].
History
Acid Throne was founded in October 2021 by singer-guitarist Chris Kemp, dummer Chris Farrar, and bassist and guitarist Matt Stembrowicz. Soon after the band formed, they secured a slot on the Jagermeister stage[2] at Bloodstock Open Air Festival thanks to a joint win at Bloodstock's 'Metal to the Masses' competition in 2022. Acid Throne played at Bloostock Open Air on Sunday 14th August 2022.
The band released its first EP, The Demo, in April 2022[3], before recording its first full album at Foel Studio in Wales in April 2023. The album is currently scheduled to be released digitally and on vinyl during September 2023.
In July 2023, Acid Throne toured England with Irish doom band Tooms, playing venues in Chelmsford, London, Bristol and Southampton. The tour followed an extended run of one-off shows
Acid Throne is currently working with Octopus Agency management.
