Hindu Socialism or Hinduistic Socialism is a relatively modern concept. But it has found many takers in the 20th Century. It has said to have taken roots in India from the 19th Century from the Ideas of Swami Vivekananda who is also considered one of the founders of Indian Freedom fight and Gurus of Modern Hinduism. Hindu Socialism is a Philosophy preached by Many Modern Hindu Philosophers. Bhagat Singh is considered to be one of the revolutionary figures in Indian Freedom fight. Indian Freedom fight had Roots in Socialism and Revolutionary Ethos.
Nepal a Hindu Country has Had Countless Communist party leaders through out history. The leaders could be considered as Modern Hindu Communist Figures
Swami Vivekananda was considered one of the Modern Hindu Philosophers of India. And one of the founding fathers.
Also Satya Bhakta was another leading figure of Hindu Socialism and Communist figure in Indian history with some influence [1]
The Hindudom has always been enticed by Ideas of Socialism and Continuity in Civilization. India had various large Civilizations through it Be It Mauryan Empire, or Gupta Empire or Mughal Empire or later the British Empire and the Post British Modern Indian Constitutional Republic.
Other Socialist Indian Figures can Be Considered Gandhi, Nehru and Indira Who too had certain influences from Socialistic Philosophy.
And Also Many Indian Political Parties in 20th Century advocated Hindu Ethos and Socialist Principles in their doctrine for a more coherent society.
