Mike Mathetha, also Known As Blood Diamond (Born In 1988), is a Zimbabwean Welterweight Mixed Martial Artist[1] And Former Kickboxer.[2]

Kickboxing

Coming from City Kickboxing, he competed in numerous bouts in the local scene which lead him to compete in Glory, Glory of Heroes, and King in the Ring. In 2014 he won the tournament King in the Ring 72 kg III. In 2018 he was a runner up for the King in the Ring 75 kg II Tournament. In 2020 he won the King in the Ring 75 kg III Tournament.[4]

He retired with a record of 51–14 with notable names on his record being Sharabutdin Magomedov, Richard Abraham.[5]

Mixed Martial Arts

In MMA he managed to win 3 fights by with 2 by finish leading him to the UFC, becoming the first Zimbabwean to ever fight in the organization. He made his debut in the UFC 271 event against Jeremiah Wells and lost by submission in the first round. In his second fight he fought against Orion Cosce in UFC 277 and lost by decision. In his 3rd fight he fought against Charles Radtke in UFC 293 and lost by decision and got released shortly after.[6]

In May 4, he fought in HEX Fight Series 30 against Raymart Quintana and lost by TKO (uppercut). His MMA record stands at 3–4.[7]
