Mouse is an American musician from Tyler, Texas whose real name is Ronnie Weiss. His vocal styling are highly similar to the nasal voice of Bob Dylan. He is best known as the leader of the garage rock band Mouse and the Traps, although interestingly, the two best known songs in which he was a participant were not originally credited to this band. Since two compilation albums have been released under the name of the band, all discography and reissue details are given with the article on the band.

The first single by the band that would later become Mouse and the Traps was released in 1965 under the name Mouse on Fraternity Records (#F-956): "A Public Execution" b/w "All For You". The "A" side of this single was included on the original Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era, 1965-1968 compilation album that was released on Elektra Records in 1972 and has also been widely anthologized on other garage rock collections. About this single, the liner notes on the Nuggets album stated: "There are those who believe that Mouse does Bob Dylan's The remaining 12 singles were released under the band name.
