Nancy Lynn Hogshead (born April 17, 1962 in Iowa City, Iowa) is a retired freestyle swimmer from the United States, who won the gold medal in the women's 100m freestyle at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California.

In the only dead heat in Olympic swimming history, Hogshead and US-teammate Carrie Steinseifer tied in 100m freestyle in 1984 and therefore shared the gold medal. Hogshead won two other golds, in the 4x100m freestyle and the 4x100m relay teams. She also won a silver in the 200m individual medley.

Hogshead had given up swimming for nearly three years after the U. S. boycott of the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. She won three national butterfly championships, in the 100 yards and 200 metres in 1977, and the 200-yard event in 1978. When she came back in 1983, she had switched to freestyle, and she won the 1984 indoor 220-yard event.
