Rick S. Piltz
Rick Piltz is a former climate policy expert in the White House's Climate Change Science Program. In March 2005, he resigned over political interference in the program's publications by Phil Cooney. A few weeks later, the New York Times exposed Cooney's role in editing government documents on climate change to create scientific uncertainty.[1] Cooney resigned and days later took a job at Exxon Mobil.
Piltz went on to found Climate Science Watch, a nonprofit that investigates corruption in climate science and advances discussion on ways to deal with the impacts of global warming.
