Production
Production of the film began with the working title D53[6]. Producers of the sandalwood movies Hebbuli and Ondalla Eradalla, Umapathy Films announced that they would collaborate with Darshan[7] under the direction of Tharun Kishore Sudhir[8], in whose debut movie Chowka, Darshan had made a special appearance in 2017. Principal photography began on 6 May 2019 in Bengaluru. The first theme poster was released by the production house on 6 November 2018, while the title of the movie was announced as "Roberrt"[9] on 25 December 2018 on Christmas. The second theme poster of the movie was released on 5 June 2019 on the eve of Ramzan festival[10][11].
Coinciding with the announcement of the title, a theme poster was also released on 25 December 2018. The poster saw Darshan as the incarnation of Hanuman with Rama on his shoulder[12].
The shooting of the movie has been undergoing confidentially with mobile phones reportedly banned at the shoot locations.
Soundtrack
This film's soundtrack and score will be composed by Arjun Janya. This marks the fourth collaboration of Arjun Janya after Chakravarthy, Tarak and Odeya with DarshanAnd the Background music is Composed by V.Harikrishna. Audio Rights purchased by Anand Audio
Release
The film is scheduled for release on April 2020. The producer is planning to release in four to five languages
