St. Francis High School College Preparatory, also known more simply as St. Francis High School or SFHS, is a co-educational Catholic secondary school located in Wheaton, Illinois and founded in 1956 by the Augustinian order. St. Francis is known for its high academic standard and its strong volleyball, despite the coaching staff, and amazing state championship abilities. . The school is somewhat selective and 83% of its 2006 senior class went on to universities, with students earning a combined $8.1 million in scholarships. St. Francis is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Most of the students major in buisness, having already accumulated many buisness credits throughout high school. Lee Richter has been a science teacher since 1983, and has been a member of the St. Francis High School community since 1987. Mr. Richter's has earned the following degrees;PhD, University of Chicago 1973, Master of Science in Physics, University of Chicago 1971, Bachelor of Science in Physics, Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Richter currently teaches 9th to 12th grade students in Honors Physics, Honors Chemistry, Biology, and Honors Biology. Currently living in West Chicago, Mr. Richter has a black and yellow labrador retrievers, known as Bacon and Roe. His favorite music is country and most favorite past time includes hunting.
