Notability of the text

The novel was shortlisted for Booker Prize 1987 which of itself should warrant any claims of notability of the said text. Furthermore, the text is seen as revolutionary in terms of the poststructuralist and postmodern narrative strategies employed. I hope the article is able to withstand such claims.
