We need to have the information put in the standard table I think.

things that could be considered

[edit]

to be included in this article are the density, viscosity, specific heat and structure data of boron trioxide.

The density given for the liquid is actually that of crystals.

In the Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology, 4th edition, Smith, R.A. and McBroom, R.B. discuss the vitreous form's density thus,

... At 0.28 wt % of water the density of boric oxide is 1.853, softening point 240-275°C; nearly anhydrous B2O3, having 20 ppm water has density 1.829 g/ml and a softening point of 300-325°C ...

and the abstract of "High-Temperature Density Determination of Boron Oxide and Binary Rubidium and Cesium Borates" gives this rule,

The density of B2O3 can be represented between 600° and 1000°C as d = 1.3388 + 228 (1/T) and for temperatures above 1000°C as d = 1.3947 + 157.9 (1/T), where d is in grams per milliliter and T is in °K.
