PC version
I read an article on Eletronic Gaming Monthly about Fable 2 than a PC version has confirmed.
Sadly, I'd imagine that this is speculation by the magazine or else an assumption much along the lines of release date assumption, because I don't see it anywhere on lionhead.com or loinhead.net, the two most reliable sources. The official site still says that it is Xbox 360 exclusive. For now, that's the official word. Sorry! Magugag 19:53, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- Though they're still calling Fable 1 an "X-Box exclusive" http://www.lionhead.com/fable2/news/448 129.2.170.33 07:35, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
To be honest I think there will eventually be a PC version. See http://www.loinhead.net/2007/03/14/fable-2-for-pc/ Still, I admit its still wishful thinking at the moment and nothing is confirmed. Fitz05 22:46, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
So it's a safe bet that if it does come out on PC it will be Vista only. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.163.253.36 (talk) 18:19, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
Why would it be for vista only? Most people don't like vista. And I'd say that lionhead would want to make money so why sell it to a small number of vista owners then to a lot of XP users (such as myself).
Spells
Well, I think we have some evidence that we could get a spell page going with one confirmed spell in it so far. Remember in the GDC demonstration, after the dog was injured by the Hobbes? Molyneux noticeably cast a healing spell on the animal in the form of rays of healing light converging on the animal from slightly about it. Could we at this point confirm the healing spell and start a spell section? Magugag 06:15, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
Could've been a healing item... 72.241.165.155 01:37, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
...And it was just a demo. They've cut out a bit so far. Having said that I don't see them cutting out something as basic as the healing spell, but still, it's not officially confirmed. 58.175.80.186 (talk) 09:01, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Regarding Firearms
The article states that firearms are presumed to be in the game. I remember seeing a demonstration video of Fable 2 somewhere (mainly featuring the dog mechanics) and noticed that when the demonstrator talked about how your dog acts differently depending on what weapon you choose, he pulled out a firearm and shot an enemy with it. I'm unable to find the video to cite, but if anyone can find it, they should be able to changed that from 'presumed' to 'confirmed'. Unless, that is, they mysteriously stop using firearms in the game. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by TriggerOfHel (talk • contribs) 23:46, 11 March 2007 (UTC).
If there are firearms, I think the dog (over-time) will begin to let you deal with your enemies by yourself. Especially when you are injured, the dog could feel that you could just use the gun to get rid of the bad guys. (If there are guns, fuck 'em.)
Uh... no. Your dog actually does not let you 'deal by yourself' if you use a gun more often. Of that I'm certain. Just cause you don't like guns... sheesh. Anyways, the dog has been shown to attack melee characters when you use a gun, and ranged characters when you use a sword. Simple. Magugag 07:26, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
I saw a trailer on youtube confirming guns, it should be on IGN.com or something, im to lazy and tired to be bothered with it now, but if you want to 'confirm' it then thats where i think you should look.-R.A
Release Date
the recent x box 360 magizine stated the relese date as september —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.74.249.3 (talk) 19:13, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Play.com puts the release date as 27/10/2007. http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/4-/1012390/Fable_2/Product.html Michaelritchie200 09:42, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
I saw that somewhere else too. It seems pretty practical but we can't put it for the official release date. DarthJango42 18:12, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Best Buy puts the date as 10/15/2007 [1] Predated 21:34, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
Peter molyneux said 2008 at GDC. If were going to put a releasedate, I think this one's more reliableStu42 22:29, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
- Link in the first paragraph also states 2008. Lionhead.com is a pretty official source. --CCFreak2K 07:34, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
In the video demonstation released on July 12, 2007 on the IGN website, Peter Molyneux has stated that the release date would be sometime between July and the autumn of 2008, but more than likely the fall since he states that the game will take some time to polish it up.
I just looked at Play.com, and the website showed that Fable 2 is due for release on 12/12/2008. I still believe that it will be release during Fall of 2008. Nicoli20 (talk) 04:51, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
Umm, gamestop.com has set the release date for October 1, 2008. Being that this is fairly consistent with the Q3 08 prediction, I believe that seems like an appropriate date. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.163.78.177 (talk) 00:14, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
- Any information regarding anything that sits in wikipedia requires a source for that information. If there is a release date announced by a reliable source to it, than go ahead and edit this article to state that date. Otherwise the Q3 2008 date that sits now will be fine until then. Just be sure to include that source along with any editing that is done. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.90.147.178 (talk) 01:24, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- The release date of 10/1/08 needs to be removed. Any dates on websites other than Lionhead's are not correct, since only THEY know when it actually is. All they have said is that it is in 2008 and will be when the "leaves turn brown". Considering Lionhead are British this would probably mean August/September anyway not as late as october. But who knows? Which is exactly why it shouldn't be there! 91.105.132.45 (talk) 14:23, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- Otherwise reliable sources (retailers, trusted review sites) are notorious for speculating about the release dates of video games. Only a Lionhead source meets WP:RS. -Rushyo (talk) 23:50, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Consoles
Is this being released only for the XBox 360? Not the PC? Michaelritchie200 20:08, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
At the moment it has only been announced for the 360. DarthJango42 18:12, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
You know that's bullcrap. NO game company is foolish enough to not have it's games on the PC. (They'll be swimming in Benjamins if they release this for the PC.)
- Actually, it's not...Do you see Halo 3 on the PC yet?
Besides, it's also a very good way to make extra profit, because if it turns out to be a very good game, people might buy a Xbox 360 just for that game, like me and my brothers did for Halo 3... I do hope I am allowed to write here. I also made several changes in the article, such as correcting typing errors, etc. If I am not allowed here, please say so and I will try to ignore the temptation to help.
It probably will be released on PC like most Xbox 360 games, but it could be up to half a year or later after the Xbox 360 release, and that may not happen, it didnt for Fable.
It did, but it was called Fable the lost chapters and had some extra features. A pc release still isn't confirmed though so there is no reason to put it in the farticle.
"Farticle"? lol, it will make its way to the PC all Xbox exclusive and 360 exclusive games have, though i'd say it would be Vista exclusive. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.68.123.13 (talk) 08:56, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
-- http://www.lionhead.com/fable2/about.html Format: DVD for the Xbox 360 video game system It's not being released for the PC, though it may be available for the PC much later, as with any game that comes out on console. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Forveya (talk • contribs) 05:06, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Confirmed facts
Some of the confirmed facts seem unclear or as they're stated should not be considered confirmed.
- "The game may be set on another continent than Albion.": If it "may be", it isn't confirmed. Also, with other items stated, it seems that the game will be set in Albion. Or is this talking about that other continents may be involved including Albion?
- "Property can now be properly invested in...": How is it going to be different from the first Fable?
- "The designer wants to reproduce a theme of unconditional love in your children.": What exactly does this mean?
- "The player can plant an acorn into the ground and watch it grow into an oak tree." Only oak trees are available to plant or is this just an example that vegetation can be planted?
- "Images found online taken from X06 show a new area called Bloodstone which appears to be a coastal dock-style area for ships." & "Other images from X06 also hint heavily at pirates making an appearance and indicate that the "whores" of Albion, as named in the image, will also reappear in Fable 2.": Is it possible to have stated images posted, as there is no link (that I've found) to said images, so reference to them is almost pointless.
QuasiAbstract 04:43, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- this game is also avalable for windows & mac.
-Oh, just browse those links down the bottom (the gamespot one). I found the articles (though I don't have time to find them for you now). It's all true if you take Peter M's word for it. Not sure about the other than Albion thing though. I didn't read all of it.
-- Will do. QuasiAbstract 06:47, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
i wonder if scythe will make an appearance, i believe he will..
Does somebody knows the official release date? Because everyone is saying a diferent one. (DenisseClark 04:29, 20 December 2006 (UTC))
-- Okay, regarding your questions about the confirmed facts:
- The unconditional love thing means that your characters kids will respect you no matter what kind of horrible things you .
- I'm pretty sure that only oak trees have acorns. I could be wrong, though.
As for the other questions... *falls over and dies* --Averross 14:47, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, oak trees have acorns, but the question was more, "Is oak the only type of tree".QuasiAbstract 15:38, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
I don't think that an oak is the only type of tree. Why would anyone use only one type of tree in a game?
"this game is also avalable for windows & mac." Uh... 'fraid not chum. So far, this game is only registered for release on the Xbox 360. While there is a strong possibility of computer releases, there is no concrete information. Magugag 22:38, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
To be honest i dont think there are any 'confirmed' facts, there were apparantly confirmed facts up to two weeks before the release for Fable yet practically half the promised gameplay was missing. I wouldnt trust molyneux to introduce half the stuff that he said he will and has shown at this early stage, sure its refreshing to have someone whos really into a project that their working on, but he did in all fairness, lie, about what would be in the first Fable.
-- Yes, but now the lionhead team has more than quadrupled their staff and Peter has been very honest about features to be released with the game (he's shown them off at interviews, gdc etc.)
Reconfirm facts
If someone has some time on their hands, can they reconfirm the items listed? While a lot of the vandalism seems to be gone, others seem possible vandalism.
QuasiAbstract 20:38, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
This is DarthJango42, I'm posting the list of facts and I'll say which ones I've definitely heard of and post links if I can find them. Only the September ones because the July ones seem mostly plausible. Also, I'm new at this so I'm not sure how to shorten to links so if someone wants to do that to this list, they can.
NOTE: For the http://uk.videogames.games.yahoo.com/x360/previews/fable-2-cd600a.html source, take special note of paragraph 7 which states that not all of these features may make the cut. Also the last paragraph says we may see Fable 2 in action at March although this could definitely change. Here's a page with the whore, pirates, and bloodstone images. And some other stuff too. http://alterego.vault.ign.com/files/extras/fable2concept.php
On September 29, 2006 Lionhead's Peter Moleyneux gave a preview of Fable 2 at X06:

- It is now possible to have children, whether you are playing as a female or a male. http://uk.videogames.games.yahoo.com/x360/previews/fable-2-cd600a.html and http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=146894&skip=yes

- The player may now choose from protected sex to unprotected sex. http://uk.videogames.games.yahoo.com/x360/previews/fable-2-cd600a.html
- The player can plant an acorn into the ground and watch it grow into an oak tree. http://uk.videogames.games.yahoo.com/x360/previews/fable-2-cd600a.html
- The player can affect the future of a camp by choosing to finance it or slay everyone inside. http://uk.videogames.games.yahoo.com/x360/previews/fable-2-cd600a.html and http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=146894&skip=yes
- The Hero's child is affected by the Hero's actions. This means that if the Hero is evil, his child will be too. http://uk.videogames.games.yahoo.com/x360/previews/fable-2-cd600a.html
- Images found online taken from X06 show a new area called Bloodstone which appears to be a coastal dock-style area for ships. http://alterego.vault.ign.com/files/extras/photos/2.jpg
- Other images from X06 also hint heavily at pirates making an appearance and indicate that the "whores" of Albion, as named in the image, will also reappear in Fable 2. http://alterego.vault.ign.com/files/extras/photos/4.jpg http://alterego.vault.ign.com/files/extras/photos/8.jpg
- The improved combat system will mean that the way the hero swings his sword changes according to proximity of walls, allies, and enemies. http://uk.videogames.games.yahoo.com/x360/previews/fable-2-cd600a.html
- The game will have a multiplayer portion. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=148656?cid=OTC-RSS&attr=CVG-General-RSS NOTE: He did not confirm multiplayer, he has only confirmed a spectator mode so far where people can watch each other play. http://www.answers.com/topic/fable-2 (It says Molyneux hints at a multiplayer portion in some G4 interview which I haven't been able to find.)
- You will now be able to take jobs as such as barman, a farmer, or even a prostitute. http://alterego.vault.ign.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62
- Your character will age, as the game takes place over 50 years http://alterego.vault.ign.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62
- The Hero will be able to have a companion, most likely a dog. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=128840 However, considering that this is a year old and absolutely nothing has been said about it since (except for rumors), I wouldn't really count on this one...
- There will be an online element with a team mechanic. http://alterego.vault.ign.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62
- If you die, you can not return so you have to restart/load the game.
In the http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=146894&skip=yes source, they say the main bad guy is named Lucien who will try to harm your family if have one. So far anyways, the only rumor I haven't been able to find anything about is the die comeback one (the last one) which I don't even really get anyway, so there. Everyone else can decide what to do with this stuff. DarthJango42 02:23, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
Don't you think they are over exxagurating like what they did with the original Fable? So much for carving a name on a tree, lol. --Eiyuu Kou 16:55, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Nah, They are really reigning in mr peter this time, they are only focusing on things that are comfirmed to be in the game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.32.92.202 (talk) 00:28, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Yo Momma
The latest person to edit the page, yo momma (I'm just calling him that since there is no name in the history of the page and the comment he left was yo momma), left a vulgar comment at the end of the list of confirmed facts. Some of the confirmed facts don't make sense, like there will be "uncool" twists and you can have a companion that is a rapist. Are there any citations that can confirm the confirmations? Otherwise I will have to assume that yo momma messed with the page.
Rhymingisfun 02:22, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
In response to Yo Momma
The person you call Yo Momma was vandalizing the page,This is confirmed because you can not have a rapist as your companion from known evidence and they also added to fact below that and I quote "Why are you reading this Bitch?"That is what he put after that and I think this vadalization should be fixed as soon as possible. --Grabnar 04:38, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
Peter Molyneux at GDC 2007
Should we put in that Peter Molyneux is going to have an 80-minute session at GDC in March just about Fable 2 and reveal a new "unexpected" feature of the game? In this session, he will also likely reveal tons of other new info on the game as well. http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/753/753870p1.html So should we put this in the article? DarthJango42 03:41, 13 January 2007 (UTC) —Definately. I'd add it but I'm not sure where to put it.Stu42 21:53, 26 February 2007 (UTC)Stu42
- I'll add it. Incidentally, does anyone have a source on the talk Molyneux had with G4? fel64 08:29, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Theres a video about it on G4's website. You can find it easy if you do a search for "Molyneux." Not sure how to cite it though. --Ryudo 06:08, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- Searched for Molyneux, got a whole bunch of results. I watched the most likelies but none of them mentioned online play (I'm interested because it's listed as a source for the 'known facts'). Unfortunately their system is incredibly inconvenient for linking - maybe you can describe exactly how to get to that video? In any case, I would cite by giving the quotation, the timespan and the video location. fel64 16:55, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Rewriting page
I think it would be good to rewrite this page - it's just a huge mess now, especially that list of facts. I've put what I'm working on as one of my user pages here. Basically I will be rewriting the introduction and the confirmed facts thing mainly for a different page structure. One of my reasons is WP:LAUNDRY. Comments/criticisms/vetoes? fel64 16:24, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- Sounds good, just remember to include everything. And put cites so we can get rid of that "does not cite its sources" thing. DarthJango42 04:20, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- My main problem is that quoting videos in terribly inconvenient. Once something is sorted out about that it'll be finished, possibly earlier anyway. fel64 17:15, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
I just replaced the page. Please make any changes necessary or even revert (with discussion first though please). I am involved with Loinhead, and I have linked to it - but that was in cases where I thought it was genuinely the best/only source for the information. fel64 17:45, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
Right, next person to post made up stuff in it will be chased by a banana. Hi fel. Grymsqueaker 10:52, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
Tell me if I'm wrong, but does Fable 2 have random generated worlds? I've never heard anything about this, and I'm a member of the lionhead forums, found here: http:allboards.lionhead.com
- Yo Kal!
- Anonymous: You're wrong. Probably. There hasn't been anything at all to suggest that. Please sign comments by the way. :) fel64 17:28, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, that was me, I forgot to sign it. It was one of the things that was in the article, that's all. Grymsqueaker 08:49, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Vandalism?
There is something at the end of the storyline section of questionable truth. But I'm not removing anything yet. 124.177.183.208 07:33, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Fan sites
There is a small list of fan sites on Lionhead's web site that I would like to make referance to here with out them being constantly deleated http://www.lionhead.com/fable2/links.html --Toddquest 12:07, 4 May 2007 (UTC) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Toddquest (talk • contribs) 01:53, 4 May 2007 (UTC).
Vandalism?
I think there has been vandalism to the page.... You will notice in the article quoted from Molyneux things like "you are destined, in that story, to bring together a group of heroes rather like the Magnificent 7." and "The camera follows the dump down, it comes down, the crap lands on this kid’s head - that’s you".
The quote also refers to Peter Molyneux in third person so it probably isn't authentic (I wouldn't think). The page it is referenced from is a site called www.loinhead.net - loinhead not lionhead, so I would assume from a quick look at it that it is a parody site.
You can also see some dubious comments about the dog and various other bits of the article...
This is the first time ive ever posted a comment or anything on wikipedia and I don't know what to do to fix an article, so this is all I can really do.. anyone who can help it would be good to keep the article accurate.
If I'm wrong and it hasn't been vandalised then my apologies.
Thanks, NW

Loinhead is an actual fan site and quite reliable. "you are destined, in that story, to bring together a group of heroes rather like the Magnificent 7." sounds like vandalism, however I'm not so sure about "The camera follows the dump down, it comes down, the crap lands on this kid’s head - that’s you". I know at least part of that is true... its meant to be the introduction. I'll have a look and see if I can root out some of the stuff. Fitz05 13:51, 8 July 2007 (UTC) I had a check and read over those parts. Theres been no vandalism that I could spot. Loinhead is actually quite a good source of information about various lionhead games, you should check it out. Fitz05 13:57, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
Oh ok will do. I assumed it was a parody site just by looking at the name 'loinhead', sorry. I'll check it out. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Settlments
This section doesn't seem to quote any sources, or anything... and as a fable enthusiast, i dont seem to remember at any point Peter Molyneux stating that there would be multiple settlements that the hero can influence in this way. I think a change is needed. Sneidich88 03:12, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Molyneux vs. Jackson
In the storyline section (second paragraph) it says "Peter Molyneux" rather than "Peter Jackson". So I'm fixing it. The talk is trascribed somewhere already if you need proof, and Molyneux has no reason to refer to himself in third person. T. M. Mitchells 13:32, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Bias?
In the section with information regarding in-game marriage, sex and family I suggest we remove "The player's child or children will look upon the player as an example, as real children do." Don't you think it is a bit biased? Eatspie (talk) 20:17, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
- Generally, family is a primary socialization factor, and most children do end up similarly as their parents do. However, I do agree that the sentence is extremely generalized. I don't believe it should be outright removed, but edited. ~QuasiAbstract (talk/contrib) 08:08, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- It could be referring to merely very young children, who tend to idealize their parents. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.153.21.215 (talk) 00:25, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
'Game mechanics' category
Shouldn't all discussion about features in the game (in example, Death and Combat) be moved under a 'Game mechanics' or 'Features' category? --85.250.248.249 (talk) 21:52, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Looks odd...
Am I the only one that feels that this article does not look right, like the formatting is off? Rau's Speak Page 00:00, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- It's typical of unreleased games. The closer to release, the more defined and compact it will become as details solidify. JAF1970 (talk) 00:27, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- So its going to be like this indefinitely? Great... Rau's Speak Page 01:07, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
The article has required clean up for some time now, but as stated above, such a disorganized format is to be expected for an unreleased game. Once Fable 2 has been released, the article will take on a much more organized look, just like any other video game article in wikipedia. On a side note though, this still doesn't mean that the article is fine as it is now, if anybody is willing to clean it up... I'm not volunteering though.
Release date
Please dont edit the release date until Lion head or a reputable source confirms it.Blaze of merc (talk) 20:06, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
- The constant release date changes are a bit out of hand. I came onto the article a while back and found that the info box had been merged with the openning paragraphs of the article, all because the person who last changed the release date added an extra bracket in. Even worse, whoever did it didn't give any thought to fix it, nor did anybody who updated the article afterwards. This article should probably be locked until the game is released, but than it couldn't be updated with new information about the game.
- Some muppets screwing up the formatting doesn't merit a lock.--Stu42 (talk) 23:43, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
- Of course it doesn't, but constant changes back and forth of one little detail, that has no real conformation in the first place, and by those very same "muppets", sort of does. However, as I mentioned before, it's a bit too drastic for an article about a game that hasn't been released yet and is constantly being updated with new information.

- Tug o' war over a date goes nowhere.
- I'd like it to say Holiday 2008. I won't change it, but if you guys don't object I'd like you to change it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.72.113.212 (talk) 23:50, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
- You can't say holiday b/c that not the real date, just wait for the real date.--Lbrun12415 00:25, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
I edited this beside the release date on the article just now, and I'll put it here too. There is a rumor going around that the games release date is October 1st, 2008. This date is posted up at IGN, not Lionhead Studios. Now I'm no researcher, and I don't really care much for wikipedia, however I do not like the idea of leaving an unconfermed release date for a game, life get to that date, and disappoint everybody who read that date, all because it was inaccurate. From my understanding, IGN information can be changed by any user, therefore it isn't credible. If someone can prove this otherwise, please state a credible source along with any changes made. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.90.142.71 (talk) 00:51, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Request for semi protection.
Due to people blanking the page (not eve signed in and vandalism) can we at least make it so only established users can edit it?Blaze of merc (talk) 13:30, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- I second this. There's been a lot of vandalism here lately.--Stu42 (talk) 18:21, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Request it. There is no need for discussion because if it passes, editors are pleased, and if it fails there is no harm no foul. But I will put in a request. Rau's Speak Page 02:18, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- Done. Rau's Speak Page 03:18, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Hey is it possible to get it protected again? i would request it but i dont know how Blaze of merc (talk) 05:02, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- Go to WP:RFPP, but I doubt if it will pass. Make your request there and support your claim. I do not think that it needs it, but I also do not pay much attention to this page. Rau's Speak Page 19:04, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Ref
Please make sure you guys see the ref one of them was to prove the game comes out on holiday 2008. When you look at the ref, it states nothing about holiday.--Lbrun12415 00:35, 15 May 2008 (UTC)0
Holiday 2008 is just a rumor, it has not been confirmed or denied (to my knowledge)but sources close to me (many sites and people in game stores) all point to early September to the middle of November (these are through eb games's current day to me guessing seeing what happened last year in November(with all those big name games coming out in the middle on November)but i guess November technically is in the holidays), well thats my two centsBlaze of merc (talk) 05:09, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
"Death" Penalty Talked About in Episode 6 of Diary?
I THINK (Don't quote me on this) that someone said on the latest developer diary that when your HP hits 0, you lose some XP, there's a music sting, and your character lets out this burst of energy, knocking all the enemies away, ala Crackdown when you level a skill. Did anybody else watch that video and hear that? Can that be confirmed?
Also, please excuse me if I screwed anything up. This was kinda my first talk page deal.

Yes this is true, something like a EXP burst takes place and you rise, now its not know if all your exp is drained or if its what you got recently like in the past ten minutesBlaze of merc (talk) 20:46, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
question
when I pre-ordered the game today they said it will be out on OCT 2nd. I'm not sure if this is true or not but I will look into it.--Lbrun12415 00:12, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
- Please see the section on the talk page above regarding the release date - retailers guess and no date has yet been confirmed. KASanderson (talk) 17:33, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
Framerate
I just saw the E3'08 demo of it and what, is the game supposed to run at 18 fps or was it just that demo/online game? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.45.29.205 (talk) 00:22, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
They're likely still working on enhancing it to make it run faster. The final product will likely have a better framerate than what was seem now. Betas tend to have a lower framerate before optimization. 74.37.101.49 (talk) 01:37, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Orphan Error?
In the GDC annoucement, the co-op player killed Molyneux's husband. Molyneux then called his son an orphan. This is not true, as he is still alive himself! There is some more info in the main page that says that you can go visit the 'orphaned' son in a orphanage.
I just came to complain, 'cos this should not happen. Armareum (talk) 16:19, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
- Your character, in that case the mother, is away to much on quests and shiz. So it would be considered extreme neglect to leave the child at home, hence the orphanage. Jasca Ducato (talk) 16:31, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Is October 21st 2008 the real release date?
The official websites just say October and in E3 2008 it was announced for October but they didn't list a date. I'd say the game is most likely to come out in early October, probably October 7th, then Fallout 3 on November 18th, a year after Mass Effect came out. Please consider the release date. Dragonblades (talk) 09:12, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
- Gamespot is a pretty reliable source. They give sources for information, and it isn't user run. It could be that official sites simply haven't been updated, or that the information isn't supposed to be out yet. Either way, they have a solid source. Rau's Speak Page 05:28, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
According to the retailer websites ship date is Oct 21— Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.95.247.54 (talk • contribs)

removal from 'dog' - comment
Removed this:
It was also revealed that the player's dog can become injured from combat, but cannot die. If the dog is injured, it's possiable for the player to run away from the dog. However, the dog will continue to follow the player and will soon catch up to the player. For instance, the player runs away from his/her injured dog and the player went into a pub. If the player stays there long enough, there will be scratching at the door. A NPC will then open the door and the player's dog will be standing there. NPCs that witness this will have negitive thoughts about the player.
Please don't add every single piece of info. you can find - this article is not a game guide, or a synopsis of all the previews made a available etc.87.102.86.73 (talk) 15:29, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

The 'disclaimer' is not good practice - it represents infered opinion..
The dog section does not need the extra paragraph - this is not a game guide, or an exhuastive list of the features in the game. Please discuss if you disagree.87.102.5.5 (talk) 12:48, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
I removed this During the development the following features are planned. For comparison it should be remembered that when making the first Fable game Lionhead failed to include features that Peter Molyneux had mentioned while the game was still in development.
Does anyone disagree?87.102.5.5 (talk) 20:50, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
- I do. Sensemaker
- I concur. It's already covered by the {{Future game}} banner with the text "The content may change substantially as more information becomes available." That covers the planned features. No need to mention it again. Further, it's not our place to make comparisons. ~QuasiAbstract {talk/contrib} 17:08, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
Condense the article
The article is too long, and too "list-y". JAF1970 (talk) 15:46, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
Update: Gold is not gold in the game
The gold you earn in Fable II Pub Games is turned into XP instead, on a 1 gp = 1 XP ratio. JAF1970 (talk) 17:34, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

In Fable II Pub Games it's self.
Features "disclaimer"
I'd like to know something. How is "During the development the following features are planned. For comparison when making the first Fable game Lionhead failed to include features that Peter Molyneux had mentioned while the game was still in development." better than "The following features are planned, however due to changing developmental planning, all features may not appear in the retail version. For example, while Fable was in development, Peter Molyneux had mentioned several features that were not in the final build." or vice versa? How are either version necessary if we know that all the features will be in the game? ~QuasiAbstract {talk/contrib} 19:29, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
- It's necessary because a major falling point for Fable (and by extension Fable: TLC) was the fact that PM promised many things which never appeared, such as the Sandgoose or the ability to watch trees grow and more; both of which have been added to this game. This is something PM makes a big point of almost everytime the words "Fable II" come out of his mouth. Jasca Ducato (talk) 22:03, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
- I read the "disclaimer" as being "features may or may not be in the final version", but if you're saying "features promised in Fable but did not appear, now appear in Fable II" it needs to be rewritten to say that. ~QuasiAbstract {talk/contrib} 22:26, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
