April 13 Revision

I think that the notability criteria are met. If nothing else: "national concert tour in a large or medium-sized country". See this concert page [1].

However, most of the article seems to be a verbatim copy of their christianmusic.com biography: [2] I've removed the potentially offending text, not being especially familiar with the rules for potential copyright violation. I'll try to get back to the article later tonight. Pentegamer 21:32, Apr 13, 2005 (UTC)

Notability Template

This article quickly needs content to pass the Notability and Music Guidelines. Zzyzx11 08:02, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Why the Kutless page should stay

Kutless has 3 CDs out on BEC Recordings, a company owned by Tooth and Nail Records. 'Tonight', by Kutless has been featured on MTV2, and many of Kutless's songs have been played on TVU and hundreds of Christian radio stations.

Tooth & Nail have signed MxPx, Blindside, The Juliana Theory, the OC Supertones etc. Kutless have toured with The OC's and also other prominent artists such as Toby Mac. They have 4 CD's out - 3 albums & 1 EP, they have just concuded a tour in America (with Superchic[k] supporting.) They also perfomed at the 2004 (Summer) Olympics in Greece.

Music Videos

this site desperatly needs someone to post all of kutless' music videos, please some one who knows all of them put them on this site --Zachary Murray

I moved this comment in here, from the article. --LuminousSpecter 03:39, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What?? Plagierism

Someone ripped off an entire article (http://www.artistopia.com/Music-Artists/Pros/Bio.asp?ID=535605&Name=Kutless) and pasted it in the Wikipedia article. Can someone revert please? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.245.179.138 (talkcontribs)

Stu

I've been seeing in a lot of places that people are saying Steve Burguiere was the Stu in Kutless - this article included. It was actually Nathan Stuart. I have changed it accordingly. Junebugmusic 02:46, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, there is no mention of when and why Stu isn't in the band anymore. Twineball 04:11, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Creative differences with the band. They and management were going one way and he wasn't fully on board for that. Jason 05:37, 9 September 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ldstryfe (talkcontribs)

Fair use rationale for Image:Kutless.jpg

Image:Kutless.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:11, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Call Box

Did Kutless as the worship band Call Box have any albums? If they did, this should probably be noted, or created in a new article. Jcpizzadude 14:48, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, they did not. When they first got their record deal, they had to change their name, due to some other band having a claim on "Callbox". "Kutless" was their first album. Twineball 17:25, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Andrew Morrison

Checked with their management company and they have no clue who Andrew Morrison is. Please post some type of source material for this him being in the band in the past.Ldstryfe

EP?

The bio says that they released a three-track EP. Was this as Call Box or as Kutless? And should there be more information, on it perhaps an article?

Jcpizzadude 17:59, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The three track EP was released as Kutless. Ldstryfe
Were the songs incorporated into the self titled album Kutless?
Not all of them. Ldstryfe

A site Christianrock.net is being used as a reference here but being in the music industry I can't say I've even heard of them or that any of their information is legit. Anyone care to weight in? Jason 05:39, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Redirects

I have redirected all the individual bands members pages here. As far as I can tell none of them are notable on their own. The articles have all been tagged for various problems for years. Ridernyc (talk) 09:28, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"true Christian band"

according to the article, they [quote] are considered a true Christian rock band.[/quote] Is this a neutrality issue? What exactly defines a true Christian rock band? Eggbertx (talk) 19:32, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Name

Are these guys aware that their name is quite rude in Dutch? Spelling 'cutless' with a K may be cool in English, but the Dutch word 'kut' means 'c*nt'. Their posters and sleeves look very, eh, interesting to Dutch eyes. 109.178.233.202 (talk) 07:39, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That may be the case but this is not the place to ask such a question. Maybe try a Kutless fan forum. Please discuss ways to improve the article here, not trivia. FCTS 142 (talk) 15:08, 10 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
